I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve joined UserTesting as CEO. This may come as a surprise to my network, and it honestly came as a surprise to me. Less than a month ago I was enjoying time with my family, and I didn’t expect to consider another CEO job until my son went away to college. But joining UserTesting is an opportunity I could not refuse. It’s a privilege to lead UserTesting into its next chapter, building on the strong foundation that Andy MacMillan and the leadership team have established. After an incredibly rewarding 6+ years at UserTesting it’s time to hand the baton to someone else for the next chapter. UserTesting is in a great position to continue to lead the market and do amazing things with our customers as we welcome Eric Johnson as our new CEO. I’ll be staying connected to the company as a Senior Advisor and as an investor. In the last 6 years we’ve gone from a growing startup in the USA to a global market leader with offices in Edinburgh, London, Barcelona, Paris, Sydney and Singapore. We’ve grown from $40m in revenue to over $300mm and are highly profitable. Over 75 of the Fortune 100 are customers and we are helping the most innovative startups in the world create amazing new product experiences. Along the way we’ve launched new products, drove awareness of our industry, gone public on the New York Stock Exchange and been part of a multi-billion dollar combination of UserTesting and UserZoom. I want to thank everyone who’s been involved in the journey to this point. While I know there is more to come for UserTesting, it’s moments like these, between chapters, where we get to pause and say thanks. Thank you Darrell Benatar, Dave Garr and Chris Hicken for bringing me into UserTesting with the help of Andrew Braccia and Accel. We had big dreams at the time and together I think we accomplished a lot of them. I’m proud of how we did it and the people that were a part of it. I also want to thank Alfonso de la Nuez, Gustavo Alberelli, and the UserZoom (now part of UserTesting) team for joining us on the journey and A.J. Rohde, Nicolaas Vlok, and the Thoma Bravo team for their partnership in getting to this point. The future is bright for UserTesting.
