About us
USA Archery is the National Governing Body for the Olympic sport of archery, and is the organization recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee for the purpose of selecting and training men’s and women’s teams to represent the U.S. in the Olympic, Paralympic, and Pan American Games. USA Archery also selects teams for World Championships, World Cups and other international competitions annually. The mission of USA Archery is to provide the necessary resources to foster strong athlete participation, competition and training in the sport of archery. Membership in USA Archery is open to everyone involved in all disciplines of archery including target, field and 3-D. USA Archery sanctions more than 200 events annually and conducts indoor, outdoor and collegiate National Championships as well as the United States Archery Team Qualifier Series. USA Archery also provides youth and adult archery programs and clubs throughout the United States, and certifies archery instructors, coaches and judges.

So much awesome news coming out of the #ParisParalympics! Yesterday was the best day for USA Archery with Jason Tabansky's incredible GOLD win, followed by Matt Stutzman winning GOLD in the compound men open division! These accomplishments would not be possible without the support of Board members like Josh Halpern and the USA Archery partner family. We're so thankful for those on board and welcome anyone who wants to help grow this amazing Olympic and Paralympic sport to join us! As mentioned, I joined the #board of USA Archery, the official National Governing Body (#NGB) as determined by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee earlier this year as an Independent Director. The sport is fast growing and with major players like Dr. Dre stating his intention to try to compete in archery in LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games and even my boss and Big Chicken #founder Shaquille O'Neal making an archery dad joke recently on his new game show #Lucky13 - it is clear that archery is having its moment. I am blown away by the athlete's stories, especially within the para-athlete community. Today, in the Para Olympic W1 Archery Competition, my fellow board member Jason Tabansky won the #GOLD!! A former US Army staff sergeant who was seriously injured in a helicopter accident a decade ago, today he defeated the #1 para-archer in the world to win the gold medal for his country. He is an #American Hero. BIG Congrats my friend, and I can't wait to celebrate you on the next board call.
