Nursing students Jaimy DeBurgo, Soliya Lach, and Isa Bible joined faculty and staff members at the annual Narragansett Indian Pow Wow Aug. 10 and 11, organizing a fun crafting event for kids and promoting the Pathways to Nursing program. Pathways supports nursing students from historically underrepresented populations.

URI nursing students Mackenzie Thomas (right) and Julia Passaretti joined Professor Joan Dugas and fellow classmates at the Westerly Wellness Fair for high school students and staff. The URI students created a poster presentation and discussed wellness topics—including sun protection, nutrition, physical fitness, and the importance of sleep—as the final project of their Community Health Practicum.
