United Community is proud to sponsor the Bal Harbour Shops Pop Up Bienvenidos Bash, an event celebrating the official opening of this unique event that benefits our valued partner, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas. From now to October 17, you can sample a taste of South Florida in Greenville, SC, as the city plays host to the Bal Harbour Shops Pop Up. Not in Greenville? The Bal Harbour Shops Pop Up is a traveling experience. From the southmost region of our company's footprint in Miami, Florida through the Carolinas, this luxury collection of shops is making its way along the coast. Be on the lookout for where it will head next!

CRA Officer at United Community Bank

At Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina it’s not just about donations. 🎽👖👟It’s much much more. Yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity to spend the day with some amazing United Community teammates at our local Greenville Goodwill to learn the ins and outs of what all Goodwill has to offer. We started off our day with a tour of the warehouse where we learned how donations get sorted and distributed throughout the county. We got some hands on experience with the book sorting machine 📚, hanging clothes 👚, working the bundle machine 📦and more. We then walked through a simulation where we experienced what it’s like for someone who visit #jobconnection. I learned no matter what you think your obstacles are, Goodwill is there to help. 📝💻 The Job Connection isn’t just about jobs for Goodwill rather they partner with local businesses to help find reliable employees. Our last bit of time was spent listening to real life testimonies of three Goodwill employees. There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd as the employees shared how Goodwill impacted their lives. I’m so thankful for this opportunity and am looking forward to the ongoing partnership.

    Community Impact + Leadership Development

Thanks to all of my United Community Bank teammates who volunteer in their local communities! 💙 When we launched our first corporate volunteer council in 2021, we had no idea how impactful it would be. The "Together for Good" Council has helped amplify the positive difference our bankers make in communities across the southeast and enhanced our bank's culture. The 2024 Deloitte Volunteer Impact Research shows that corporate volunteer opportunities can unlock a greater sense of connection and a more positive work experience for employees. Here are a few highlights: ✅️95% of respondents believe it's important that their employer makes a positive impact in their community, ✅️56% of respondents participated in their corporate volunteer program to strengthen their connection to their community, ✅️49% of respondents replied that their corporate volunteer program makes them proud to work for their company and it helps them build connections with their colleagues. When the United Community team reflects on their volunteer experience, I hear similar responses. It's rewarding to work at a company where making a difference in the community is one of the measures of success! #banking #togetherforgood

Executive Director of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra

It’s been a great week with our partners United Community! On Friday, I had the honor of introducing Michelle Seaver to my new colleagues Lee Mills and Lieshe Lane, CFRM! So excited about her commitment to Greenville’s favorite Christmas tradition, Holiday at Peace! Yesterday, the Greenville Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors, led by President Cathy Jones, held their first meeting of the season at United Community’s fantastic new headquarters. Special thanks to Gene Gibson for making that possible and to GSA past president Richard Bradshaw for stopping by to say hello!

    Community Impact + Leadership Development

Volunteering as a team has wonderful benefits for teams, individuals and the community. Choosing an activity that aligns well with the company, the team, and the community is important. 📈As a company, United Community Bank measures our success not just by our financial performance, but also by the positive impact we make in our local communities. 4️⃣To focus our community development and engagement efforts, we established four pillars based on employee survey results, representing important issues to our team. These pillars help us deliver on our mission to improve the financial health of the local communities we serve. Our four pillars are economic empowerment, artistic expression, housing strategies and youth development. 💙A team from United Community Bank had the opportunity to volunteer with Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina and tour their donation center. We were inspired by the work they are doing to help our neighbors with economic mobility! #banking #bankingindustry #togetherforgood
