📢 🗣️ We’re lifting up the voices of those who are leading the way for impactful change! In our Because You Said So video series, we shine a light on how the insights from our communities shape our work. 📹 Check out our tenth video featuring Mirayah Rivera Cheek, Director of Volunteer Engagement. She shares how we’ve been actively listening to our community members facing economic hardship and food insecurity—not just during the giving season, but all year round. As the holidays approach, our Gratitude Project offers various ways to engage, including supply drives, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities. Building More Equitable Communities, Together
About us
United Way of Massachusetts Bay exists to build more equitable communities, together. With over 85 years of local impact in eastern Massachusetts, we work with and for our communities to build economic prosperity and enable everyone–across races and ethnicities–to share in the knowledge, wealth and resources available. We believe that the key to unlocking opportunity is uniting people, and we bring together individuals, community leaders, corporate partners, legislators and organizations to build a powerful engine of change. We fuel new ideas, develop programs and take innovative approaches to solve some of the region’s most entrenched and systemic inequities. With communities at the center of everything we do, we unlock avenues of prosperity that uplift those who have been marginalized, and create opportunity. We believe in the possibility of vibrant, abundant, prosperous, healthy and equitable future through the power of the united collective. At United Way, our corporate partners go beyond financial contributions—they make a tangible impact through in-kind donations. In our ongoing partnership with Procter & Gamble Gillette, we received 1,600 care bags filled with essentials like shampoo, body wash, detergent, razors, toothpaste, baby wipes, and more. Earlier this week, nearly 100 of our agency partners picked them up to distribute directly to families in need, helping ease everyday struggles. A huge thank you to Procter & Gamble Gillette, especially Melanie Solo and Jerrod F., nearly 100 of our agency partners picked them up to distribute directly to families in need, helping ease everyday struggles. and Jerrod Ford, for making this possible. Partnerships like this demonstrate the power of corporate stewardship to uplift communities, offering a different and meaningful way for corporate partners to contribute.
