Understanding and Mitigating Cybersecurity Threats In today’s digital landscape, cybersecurity threats are more sophisticated and pervasive than ever. From  Russian cyber actions to PRC prepositioning in critical infrastructure with Living off the Land (LOTL) attacks, the challenges we face are complex and evolving. Russian cyber actors continue to engage in espionage and sabotage against global targets. The PRC, through PRC-sponsored groups like Volt Typhoon, is using Living off the Land (LOTL) attacks that exploit legitimate tools within systems to actively pre-position itself within U.S. critical infrastructure to prepare to carry out malicious activities in potential conflict. . Key to our nation protecting against these threats is you doing your part to protect yourself. Here are some essential steps you can take: · Use strong, unique passwords: Avoid using easily guessable passwords and consider using a password manager. · Enable ad blockers: This can help prevent malicious ads from compromising your system. · Keep your antivirus software up to date: Regular updates ensure you have the latest protection against new threats. · Practice safe browsing: Be cautious about the websites you visit and avoid clicking on suspicious links. · Stay aware of phishing attempts: Be vigilant about emails or messages that ask for personal information or direct you to unfamiliar websites. Together, we can build a more secure digital environment. Remember, cybersecurity is national security. #CyberSecurity #WeWinWithPeople #Innovation #Partnerships #USCYBERCOM
