With just 6 years until 2030 and official development assistance from donor countries rapidly shrinking, the financing gap to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) exceeds US$4.2 trillion per year. If just 1% of the estimated $477 trillion in global wealth were aligned with the #SDGs, this gap could be filled tomorrow. As the lead United Nations agency on international development, we've set an ambitious goal of leveraging and aligning $1 trillion towards the SDGs and #ClimateAction by 2025. However, reaching this goal depends on more than in-house expertise; governments, financial institutions, and development partners need a deeper understanding of SDG financing. Our SDG Finance Academy is delivering training in sustainable finance knowledge and assists in identifying experts to support countries in financing their SDG and climate targets. There are 10 free courses and to date, over 8,000 people have been trained! Find out more and join us: https://lnkd.in/e4ttcWph

“Youth should not speak only among themselves, which means a shift in the paradigm and perception of youth as an integral player involved in policymaking. It is the youth, using technology, who are the game changers today" - Yurii Romashko from Ukraine and founder of the Institute of Analysis and Advocacy (IAA). As the world moves closer to the 2030 deadline for the Sustainable Development Goals, the role of young leaders in driving this agenda is more critical than ever. Hear from Yurii Romashko, Efe Johnson, and Zubair Junjunia, 3 young leaders from UNDP and Samsung Mobile's #Generation17 initiative, as they reflect on their experiences during #UNGA, emphasizing the importance of partnerships in using technology for good. https://go.undp.org/oxZ
