Happy Weatherization Day! Umatilla Electric works closely with local HVAC, window, and insulation installers to make sure they’re up-to-date on UEC rebates and energy-saving programs. In fact, just this morning, UEC hosted a meeting to share updates with our local contractors, ensuring we are working together for our members to utilize programs, saving them money. Together with the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) and Comfort Ready Home teams, we are working on our members' behalf every day. We encourage members of UEC to explore opportunities to upgrade the efficiency of their home or business by utilizing one of our many energy efficiency programs. Our team has been having a sweet National Cooperative Month! On Thursday, Oct. 10, we kicked things off by celebrating our East District members at the Tollgate Crossing Store. We had a blast showing off our snowcat, sharing meals, and chatting with everyone about their co-op—giving them a chance to "Get the Scoop" on all things UEC. But the fun didn’t stop there! We also hosted a member appreciation event in Hermiston, right in the heart of our service area. We fired up the grill for hotdogs, brought out the ice cream truck, and had a great time catching up with familiar faces and meeting new ones! Next up, we’ll be wrapping up our appreciation tour in Boardman at the Boardman Marina Park. We can't wait to celebrate with our members on the west side, giving them the scoop on their co-op, too. If you're in the Boardman area, don’t miss out! When? Wednesday, Oct. 23 Time? 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Where? Boardman Marina Park For more info about our member appreciation events and National Cooperative Month celebrations, visit our website! https://lnkd.in/gJGyH9kH

Go Pink this October! UEC employees are raising funds to benefit our local community during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For the last few years, UEC staff have stepped up in a big way, raising thousands of dollars annually to support members of our community with breast cancer screening and treatment. UEC staff participate in a variety of fund raising activities throughout the month to honor those that have fought the disease. This year, in addition to employee activities, UEC is partnering with Maple Moose Coffee in Hermiston for their "pink drink specials" including "The Fighter" and "Pink for a Cure" - where the proceeds from the sales go toward the cause. Let's all join the fight this year and support early detection!
