We're thrilled to have finalized an 18days thorough training for 64 community healing assistants (CHA's) from 12 sectors in Kirehe District. The CHA's are now equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to facilitate healing groups and will soon embark on a 15-weeks "Imenye Wigire" program with participants from their communities.

We are excited to have concluded an introductory training of 60 Community Healing Assistants recruited out of 108 Kirehe District. They will be part of a new Randomized Control trial research which aims at examining how our Community Based Social Healing model improves UBUNTU, mental health, wellbeing, social capital and resilience.

Last week at Ubuntu Center for Peace, we were thrilled and inspired to end 2023 with a healing retreat with 110 students (School Healing Assistants-SHAs) and 13 teachers from Kagugu High School- Kigali- Rwanda which was facilitated by Dr. Jean Bosco Niyonzima, the founder and Executive Director of Ubuntu Center for Peace . Those SHAs are ready to facilitate healing of over 600 students at their school.
