Our teammates continue to inspire us through their purposeful acts of care. As many communities in Florida brace for the projected devastation from yet another hurricane, putting our purpose into action has never been more important. #TruistTogether #OneTeam #TruistCares
Our hearts are with all who have been impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Helene, and those now in the path of Hurricane Milton. Last week, I spent time with teammates and clients in some of the hardest-hit parts of Florida and the Carolinas. Seeing this unimaginable tragedy firsthand was difficult and deeply moving. I was more inspired than ever by our teammates who are doing incredible, heroic work to help meet the needs of their neighbors, distributing supplies and making sure Truist is open to serve our clients, even as their own lives have been upended by this disaster. Truist’s Humanitarian Aid team and hundreds of teammate volunteers from across the company have also been out in force to help our communities. We’ve set up sites in Asheville, North Carolina; Greenville, South Carolina; Augusta, Georgia; and St. Petersburg, Florida, where we’ve distributed thousands of meals and hundreds of pallets with critical supplies, including bottled water, nonperishable food, personal care and comfort items, and more to those in need. We’ve deployed mobile bathroom, shower, and laundry facilities. And we’re deploying mobile branches, ATMs, and generators to help ensure we can continue to serve our clients who may be in areas that are still without power. Our teammates truly are our purpose in action, inspiring and building better lives and communities. And I could not be more proud to serve alongside them as we work together to recover and rebuild.
