Our hearts are with all who have been impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Helene, and those now in the path of Hurricane Milton. Last week, I spent time with teammates and clients in some of the hardest-hit parts of Florida and the Carolinas. Seeing this unimaginable tragedy firsthand was difficult and deeply moving. I was more inspired than ever by our teammates who are doing incredible, heroic work to help meet the needs of their neighbors, distributing supplies and making sure Truist is open to serve our clients, even as their own lives have been upended by this disaster. Truist’s Humanitarian Aid team and hundreds of teammate volunteers from across the company have also been out in force to help our communities. We’ve set up sites in Asheville, North Carolina; Greenville, South Carolina; Augusta, Georgia; and St. Petersburg, Florida, where we’ve distributed thousands of meals and hundreds of pallets with critical supplies, including bottled water, nonperishable food, personal care and comfort items, and more to those in need. We’ve deployed mobile bathroom, shower, and laundry facilities. And we’re deploying mobile branches, ATMs, and generators to help ensure we can continue to serve our clients who may be in areas that are still without power. Our teammates truly are our purpose in action, inspiring and building better lives and communities. And I could not be more proud to serve alongside them as we work together to recover and rebuild.

As the road to recovery begins in the aftermath of Hurricane #Helene and as Hurricane #Milton approaches, we’re committed to caring for communities who need it most by providing humanitarian aid and banking assistance. Many of our teammates are helping distribute much needed food, water, and vital supplies, and load trucks with essential items for delivery to the areas hardest hit. In the coming days, our Disaster Recovery Mobile Branch will help serve impacted areas with 24/7 accessible ATMs available to clients and non-clients. As many communities begin to recover from Helene’s devastation, we’re inspired by the countless acts of care from our teammates truly living our purpose. #OneTeam #TruistTogether #TruistCares

As we continue to come to grips with the tragic loss of life and devastation Hurricane Helene has left behind, our first priority is to care for our teammates, clients and the communities we serve. In addition to the $500,000 donation announced last week, our Truist Foundation will contribute an additional $500,000 in support for disaster relief and recovery efforts. We have also activated a 2-to-1 match for gifts to our internal Truist One Team Fund, which supports teammates in need, and we encourage affected teammates to use this resource. And, teammates who wish to donate to the American Red Cross or other humanitarian aid organizations are encouraged to submit a request for a matching gift. Our humanitarian aid team has been activated in areas most devastated by Helene. At several locations, we are distributing supplies including water, batteries, baby needs, blankets, and non-perishable food. We are here to serve our clients, and while several locations are still without power, we will be deploying mobile branches, ATMs, and generators where they are needed most. While the storm has passed, its impact will be felt for a long time to come as we grieve the loss of lives and homes and support the communities that have much work to do to rebuild. Thank you to the Truist team for all the ways you are showing care. Our purpose is clear at times like these, and I know we will all rise to the challenge to inspire each other, our clients, and our communities.
