TCR's Allora project in Raleigh, North Carolina is not yet complete, but the team recently welcomed new guests — a herd of landscaping goats provided by North Carolina-based and female-owned business The Goat Squad!   Letting goats do what goats do best is an environmentally friendly solution to an intractable problem: the invasive and fast-growing kudzu plant. Left unattended, kudzu can take over the landscape in an area, outcompeting grass, shrubs, and even trees. In just 20 weeks, the goats eliminate kudzu from a property and prevent its regrowth in a way mowing cannot.   After the process is completed, the 20-acre Allora development site will boast improved visibility and an enhanced entrance thanks to the help of The Goat Squad.
