Instarec by Rachel S James by Percival Everett There is nothing I can say that will outshine the magnificent writers that contributed blurbs for this book or the stellar reviews it has received. Whatever I write, it will simply translate to “This is a good book and you should read it” in my mind. With that said, James is an essential and incredibly readable, addictive novel from award-winning Percival Everett (the author that brought us the novel Erasure, which became the Oscar-nominated film American Fiction in 2023).
