A few years ago, I made a decision that changed the entire path of my business and my life as a founder. I took a really surprising (at the time) step, and decided to raise money for my SaaS business, Castos Previously an entirely bootstrapped company, we became a member of the inaugural batch of the TinySeed accelerator program. But little did I know that the best part of this decision wasn't the money we raised. It was the network we tapped into. Fast forward a few years, and Castos is a much larger, more mature, and robust business. As a founder, I'm operating at an entirely different level. I've grown so much. Sure, learning how to manage a cash burn rate is a thing when you take investment, but that's tangible. Easy to grasp. What isn't easy to quantify is having a group of 200+ founders on your side, and in your corner. Being a founder is tough. Often lonely. And fraught with indecision. Having a support network for yourself and your business is paramount if you want to be successful. Hands down, you gotta get your tribe somewhere, and TinySeed is a pretty amazing place to do it. I'm so proud to be a small part of this team myself, serving as TinySeed's first Advisor In Residence.
