Last Friday, Tilson celebrated 28 years of designing, building, and maintaining America's information infrastructure. Since we started as a one-person IT consulting firm in 1996, we've grown into a national leader with over 1,400 employees. This incredible growth is thanks to our teammates, clients, and partners, who have made us who we are today. To celebrate, our GIS and Marketing teams created an interactive map that shows Tilson’s growth story over the past two decades. The map not only highlights key moments in our history but the important role our GIS team plays in analyzing and visualizing data for our projects. Check it out to see how we've grown and help shaped the future of connectivity across the nation: https://bit.ly/46pmqS3. #onamission

Pine tree or cell tower? 🔍 Tilson's Site Deployment team recently supported a major wireless carrier with the leasing and permitting of a new monopine in Central Oregon. These innovative cell towers resemble natural pine trees, providing the necessary infrastructure for increased cellular coverage without comprising aesthetics. 👉 For nationwide site deployment support, please contact our Program Manager, Emily Painter, at [email protected]. #onamission #monopine #siteacquisiton #connectivity

For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee spotlight, meet Narayan Subedi! Narayan is an ETL Consultant on Tilson’s Construction Technology Consulting team, working remotely from Ohio. This group is Tilson’s longest-standing division, helping construction companies find, implement, and tailor software solutions for nearly 30 years. In his role, Narayan partners with construction companies to help them improve their processes and business outcomes by guiding them through the technology optimization and software selection process. When network issues come up, Tilson's Wireless team is there. Our crews quickly responded to a network issue for a carrier last week, restoring coverage back to full power in less than four hours. With OEM-trained and certified technicians across the country, our team is ready to respond to maintenance emergencies and prevent costly network outages. #onamission 📷 Scott Smith, Massachusetts

Sometimes, small actions go unnoticed but can make a significant impact on safety. In Las Vegas, after completing fiber installation and backfilling potholes, our crews take extra precautions to keep the public safe by placing heavy steel top hats upside down over the hole for just a few minutes while the concrete truck moves forward to fill it. This simple step helps prevent accidents like someone unknowingly stepping into the hole. It’s the kind of thoughtful safety measure that often flies under the radar, but it's this attention to detail that ensures the safety of both pedestrians and our crews. A big shoutout to our Outside Plant teams for consistently going above and beyond, making sure safety is always a priority, even in ways that aren't always visible. #onamission 📷 Joshua Broder, Las Vegas

For this week’s #tilsontuesdays employee spotlight, meet Paul Rancourt! Paul is an OSP Desktop Technician II on Tilson’s Engineering team, where he collects and processes supporting field data for large scale fiber-to-the-home projects. As part of our 150+ Engineering team, Paul ensures that Tilson operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with both local and federal regulations while designing and constructing fiber networks across the country. In addition to collecting field data for planning and designing network routes, Tilson’s Engineering team also provides turnkey engineering solutions, from network planning and high-level designs to low-level designs and permitting. Recently, Paul has streamlined our engineering processes by integrating two fielding applications into a single tool. This improvement allows us to receive and review field data faster than ever before, earning him high praise from his peers. His expertise in desktop support and his commitment to optimizing our workflows contribute greatly to the success of Tilson’s projects. “Paul has been instrumental in innovating and automating our fielding processes – thanks to his efforts, we’re entering 2025 with the ability to do our make ready engineering and pole loading analysis with the simple push of a button,” said Natalee Cross, Tilson Vice President of Engineering.
