When people contact us to learn more, one of the first questions is usually “What is the process?” Great question! In general every interior design project contains these three steps: -An initial design consultation. -Creation and review of a proposal. -Providing recommendations which may include floor plans, design directions, product photographs, even fabrics, tiles and other finishes. The next phase is the fun part - bringing it all together! Since every project is unique, those steps are dependent on the scope of work to be done. #SpacePlanning #InteriorDesign #ProjectManagement

#TuesdayTip The world is a colorful place! With so many tones it can be easy to feel overwhelmed when selecting colors for your space. We offer these tips to point you in the right direction. -Look at what you have and are working with. This usually means furniture pieces you want to keep, but can also mean fixed elements such as floors or a fireplace surround. If you like them, search for colors that complement and enhance. -How do you want the room to feel? If you want the space to be calm, such as a bedroom, then bright colors are probably not the way to go. Playful space? Then reds, oranges, and yellows may be more in line. -Gather images of things in colors that speak to you. It does not matter how you find them, online or pulled out of magazines. Now take a look at the images - do you see a pattern (hmmm, lots of heather blue and soft gray in your collection)? Hone in on those to start your color palette. #InteriorDesign #SpacePlanning #ProjectManagement

An initial design consultation is a two-way street. It starts with us learning about how your space needs to function, and your preferred design style. We then walk through it with you and provide general ideas. It’s a win-win for both parties and the ideal way to kick-off a project. We welcome the opportunity to discuss your space planning and interior design needs. Let’s get started! #SpacePlanning #InteriorDesign #ProjectManagement

We are often asked if specific decor, artwork, or furniture pieces can be incorporated into the new rooms we are creating. Our answer? Pieces of good condition and quality can usually be included. We can help you determine which items will work best. #SpacePlanning #InteriorDesign #ProjectManagement

Do you see the rule of three applied in the room we designed here? Tell us where in the comments! #SpacePlanning #InteriorDesign #ProjectManagement
