Just 5️⃣ more weeks until the application period for the 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 closes! Here is what 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 (pictured) of the 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗳’𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 has to say about the 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: "Receiving the Will Docken Scholarship paved the way to becoming a CFCE certified member of IACIS and opened me up to new career possibilities I hadn’t previously imagined. My agency was looking to become more engaged in digital forensics but wasn’t sure where to start or how to fund a digital forensics program. The skills, experiences, and connections I formed after attending BCFE on scholarship allowed me to create a measurable impact in my community. My Sheriff was able to show the county board of supervisors what we had been able to accomplish. Because of this, we’ve received additional funding for digital forensics, formed a task force with other local agencies, and I’ve also been able to complete the CAWFE and ICMDE programs with IACIS. Now, I cannot imagine doing anything but digital forensics. It is truly a very special career within a career – which would not have been possible without the Will Docken Scholarship." Ben is an active peer review coach and a member of the Trifecta, holding all 3 of our certifications! Ben, thank you for your inspiring words and continuing to give back to IACIS! Applications for the 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 are due by 𝗡𝗼𝘃 𝟯𝟬𝘁𝗵.
