Microsoft has quietly given its staff a major update about remote work just days after Amazon unveiled its own plan to have its employees return to the office five days a week, starting next year. During an internal meeting, Microsoft Cloud + AI Group Executive Vice President Scott Guthrie reportedly told employees that the company’s remote work policy isn’t etched in stone, according to a new report from Business Insider. Currently, Microsoft has a hybrid remote work policy, which was adopted in February 2022, where most employees are expected to work in the office 50% of the time. Guthrie allegedly warned staff during the meeting that Microsoft won’t return to working in the office five days a week unless it notices a lag in productivity. More:

Tesla has done something that it hasn’t done all year. The third quarter was the first quarter in 2024 the electric car maker saw a sales gain. 463,000 Telsas were delivered globally between July and September. That’s up 6 percent from a year ago and a 4 percent gain from the April to June quarter. The sales bump is a welcome relief, as Tesla posted its first-ever back-to-back sales drop earlier this year. Those two losing quarters have put Tesla into an annual sales deficit. Year-to-date, Tesla has sold 1.3 million vehicles. That’s down 2 percent from the same time in 2023.

Liability car insurance protects you financially if you’re held responsible for an accident that injures others and/or causes damage to another driver’s vehicle. Every state except New Hampshire requires a minimum amount of liability coverage, and these amounts vary. However, such policies rarely provide enough coverage if you’re found at fault for causing a major accident. Here's what you need to know: https://trib.al/U4lgSxM

In June, Waffle House announced it would increase its servers' wages after a year of strikes and petitions by union-coordinated workers. The restaurant chain's employees unionized to demand that Waffle House provide better working conditions, higher pay, and an end to mandatory meal deductions, which were taken out of employees' paychecks regardless of whether they ate the food at the restaurant or not. The campaign ended after Waffle House's CEO, Joe Rogers III, announced in a video that the company promised to immediately raise all its employees' pay to at least $3 per hour and gradually increase it to $5.25 per hour by June 2026. However, Waffle House's promise was not fast enough to meet its employees' needs.

Off-White is an Italian luxury streetwear brand founded by the late American designer Virgil Abloh. Abloh became a household name in the fashion industry due to his time as creative director of LVMH's Italian luxury brand, Louis Vuitton, and later for developing his own brand, Off-White. With the birth of his innovative fashion brand, Abloh successfully introduced streetwear into the luxury fashion world unlike any other, earning the designer a spot among the top designers in the fashion world. No matter how hard the luxury world tried to continue managing Abloh's legacy, the brand has not had the same impact without his creative leadership. On Monday, LVMH announced it would sell its Off-White stake to a rival brand management company that may post some concerning threats.
