Sometimes you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Anyone that knows me knows that I tend to work in anonymity. My preference has always been to quietly do what needs to be done from behind the scenes. I never even participated in any social media. Embarking in the mentorship program with The Sasha Group has pushed me to be more visible, vocal, and vulnerable as a leader of Pourware Inked & Dejabrew. Creating a podcast was never in my wildest dreams. This new exposure in my role is not easy. I feel awkward and uncomfortable on a microphone. I worry about what I'm going to say. Reading words like The Sasha Group has written about The Half Glass Podcast makes me realize that putting myself out there for the betterment of the company is okay. Doing it with one of my closest friends, John Regis, helps immensely. Don't be afraid to dip your toes into something new. I did and it seems to be working out.
