We’ve made a switch - many of our Invitrogen antibodies will no longer ship cold. This change will eliminate over 216,000 pounds of paper and 440,000 pounds of gel ice packs annually, representing a 90% reduction in shipping mass. This along with 100% curbside recyclable paper packaging means we’re reducing waste and carbon emissions. Together, we can make a significant impact on our planet, one shipment at a time. https://lnkd.in/gdJFjPKc

Our 3,000 employees in the Netherlands are dedicated to supporting our customers from discovery to development of potentially life-changing cell and gene therapies. Our Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Michel Lagarde recently met with Minister-president Dick Schoof of the Netherlands to discuss the growth of the life sciences in the country. We look forward to continued collaboration with the Dutch government to support a strong innovation economy.
While outside the concrete city hustles and bustles with each and every head of state, it was inside our office building where the true magic happened... It was an unbelievable honor meeting with Minister-president Dick Schoof, our valuable and respected investors Michel Lagarde of Thermo Fisher Scientific and Janene Asgeirsson of Analog Devices. Life Sciences & Health and Semicon are both strong Dutch ecosystems enriched and nurtured by international companies, and the longterm way forward is to attract global partnerships that will position the Netherlands as an innovation powerhouse for the future. Our team in Cincinnati, Ohio showcases new equipment at our recently expanded site. Enhancements there, as well as in Bend, Oregon, will allow us to further advance and accelerate the research, development, manufacturing and testing of the most commonly prescribed form of medication, oral solid dose formulations, which include things like tablets and capsules that account for 84% of all medications on the market today. Doubling the Bend site’s existing footprint and continuing a multi-year investment plan in Cincinnati enables our global network to provide end-to-end support that helps streamline drug development and delivery processes for our customers as demand rises for these easily administered medications. Stay tuned for more information on our upgraded facilities and how they will impact surrounding communities.
