“We’re going to have a more natural, organic representation and extension of the Jordan River. So, the Jordan River, to us, is not just a nice thing to connect a trail to. It is a fundamental form-giving driver to the framework plan for The Point.” – Steve Kellenberg, planning consultant for The Point The Point Utah was recently highlighted in a three-part series by The Salt Lake Tribune focusing on the Jordan River. Located close to this iconic river, The Point is committed to connecting it with trail systems on-site and east of I-15. After an extensive nationwide search, the Point of the Mountain State Land Authority (Land Authority) Board is pleased to announce the selection of Michael Ambre as the new Executive Director of The Point. Since 2023, Ambre has served on the Land Authority board as the director for the Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM).
