Joining the The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) was the best decision I made when trying to find opportunities to push myself and thrive in all enviornments. Now as a new Behavioral Tech, I am using the skills and the resources given by them to help me grow in my career as well as prepare me for further schooling after I graduate in December. Couldn’t be more grateful for this opportunity from the NSLS and my new position as a Behavioral Tech.

NSLS impact day, I couldn’t miss posting about it. I had an amazing time at the 45th Annual Education Open! Being in an environment focused on education and support is always so uplifting. I am so grateful for the Brookdale Community College Foundation. Plus, I made sure to swing by the student life area and had a blast playing bingo with more than 120+ students! Here is what The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) is all about. It pushes you to be a better leader, guides you along the way, and helps you make your impact on the community, your city, and hopefully the world. It teaches you that it is never about doing great things because our greatest impact lies in how well we do the smaller things. My journey with the NSLS is on a roll, so I am only chasing that ripple effect. I made a commitment to do for others all the good that others have done for me. Make sure to do more than just browse through the images – be sure to register for the 2024 Leadership Summit. I plan on attending because of the invaluable leadership insights that are exchanged during the event. See you at the summit! #NSLSImpactDay #webelongatbrookdale #leadership

I attended Barry University to complete my undergraduate degree in August of 2019. I approached this with the goal of finishing my remaining credits and graduating by 2021. Additionally, to join a student organization, make the deans list, and graduate above a 3.5 GPA. But life happened and I thought with the pandemic that my goal to graduate was again delayed. Barry ensured our transition from in person to remote learning was smooth as well as not letting additional opportunities slow down when earned. It was Fall of 2020, I had 5 classes remaining so I enrolled in 5 courses that semester, after my first courses were completed I received an invitation to join the NSLS. I joined and was inducted into the NSLS Honor Society in December of 2020, I also made the deans list for having a 4.0 in all 5 courses for Fall of 2020 and my degree was officially conferred in March of 2021 with a 3.7 GPA. To say the journey of being a first generation graduate was easy, is so far from the truth but I shared my same goals with my NSLS groups and with their support I was able to achieve my goals and also was elected to serve as the Barry University NSLS Chapter Secretary for the next two semesters to continue to inspire others just the same. My fellow inductees held me accountable, believed in me, and most importantly-provided me with all the support I needed to cross the finish line. With all the momentum and ongoing support, in May of 2023, I acquired my MBA with Nova Southeastern University. I couldn’t be more grateful for my experiences from great speakers to goal setting weekly with my group, the ability to help and inspire others, my newly expanded network, great connections and priceless friendships - all thanks to the NSLS. ❤️ #NSLSImpactDay #NSLS The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS).

"What your authentic self looks like is often a mosaic of the values, identities, affiliations, etc., that you’ve developed throughout your life. It also manifests in your leadership style." Celebrating #NSLSImpactDay, I'm honored to share an article that I recently wrote for The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) about leadership. In it, I share how being involved as a student leader in university committees impacted my leadership development and the campus community around me. Insights from David Farris and Senator Danica Roem are shared to add additional value on informal leadership and authentic leadership. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/ed5-N6wb
