The Hundreds X Sesame Street “When we think of Sesame Street, we’re reminded of the endearing characters that shaped our childhoods. For many of us coming from non-English speaking homes, Sesame Street served as a gateway to learning English, promoting inclusivity, diversity, and the pursuit of our dreams. As a first-generation Mexican-American who grew up speaking Spanish, the show played a crucial role in my life, helping me bridge cultural and linguistic gaps. It remains a vital source of inspiration, continually urging us to dream big. As an homage to one of our favorite childhood shows, we’re honored to join @sesamestreet down this walk of memory lane to present a collaboration that fronts our favorite childhood friends.” - The Hundreds Creative Director David Rivera

Never thought I'd be a part of something like this, but I was fortunate enough to be a part of the inaugural merch capsule for AMC Theatres! We have two designs that reflect our theme, "My Life is a Movie" with two different energies. Soon these designs will be available for purchase in several AMC Theatres, nationwide! Check your local theatre in the coming weeks.

“Go do something else. There are already too many T-shirt brands out there.” Two decades ago, we heard this time and again from store buyers and label owners. They were wrong. Over the next generation, a tsunami of independent streetwear remade the market and rendered the new global fashion. There are 8 billion potential customers in the world today and still! more than enough room for new ideas and different perspectives. What people get wrong all the time, even those who work within the industry, is that they can only see clothing as cotton and buttons. That, which we have plenty. What we are missing from the conversation, however, is your voice. It’s a 1-of-1, once-in-a-lifetime product that no one has seen before, and the streetwear story can’t be told without it. “There are already too many T-shirt brands out there.” Okay, sure. But,... This Is Not a T-Shirt. // The first part of my @coldasicepod interview with @benballer and @jimmyxboi is streaming NOW. https://lnkd.in/gsQGgMxC

On Saturday, we invited the Community to our Los Angeles flagship to pick up the “OG Eye Jacket” by The Hundreds and Oakley. The biggest surprise of all was that the glasses were gifted to everyone for FREE. This was our way of saying, “Thank You” to you all for standing by The Hundreds for 20+ years. David Rivera documented the milestone, a collaboration we’ve been working on since 2021, by shooting portraits of friends and family in attendance. Here’s looking at you.

I get asked a lot about building brands around community. The business world is all about size and scale these days, but I've never looked at it like that. When I speak on "community," it can be as small as one. In fact, that's where it begins, and that's how it grows. One by one. One on one. Without forethought of conversions or sales. Every night, I look over our Store Report from our flagship here in LA. The guys do an incredible job of not only sharing which inventory needs to be replenished, but what the culture is feeling. On Mother's Day, a kid named Derek wandered into our store after seeing our chess table set up in the corner. It was a tougher day than most, having lost his mom a few years earlier. One of our staff -- who also happened to be named Darrick -- played chess with him and made a new friend. Not a new customer, but a community member. Please read an excerpt from Darrick's Store Report below. And this Saturday, we will be holding our first Chess Club at The Hundreds LA, 501 N. Fairfax Ave. ----- “Later in the day I met a guy named Derek and we played chess on and off from 4pm to close. He may have been me from another universe. We were different ages, looked nothing alike, from opposite sides of the country, but it felt like we knew each other for years. Also, I didn't get his name until an hour and a half into us in the shop, so there was no affect the name had on our experience. Our last game faded out and ended into conversation involving family, loss and existentialism. There was a lot we learned today but one thing I'm taking away from today is no matter how alone one may feel, the universe will constantly present opportunities to feel the latter. One must stay open. Hope y'all got a chance to embrace loved ones today. ”
