Leadership isn't about numbers. It's about doing the right thing for the people in your care. ❌ Here are 5 behaviours of a numbers-driven manager: 1. Only talks about metrics. ↳ No focus on team morale. 2. Ignores burnout for deadlines. ↳ Targets come first, always. 3. Rarely gives helpful feedback. ↳ Conversations focus on results, not growth. 4. Sees employees as replaceable. ↳ No long-term investment in people. 5. Micromanages everything. ↳ Control is valued over trust. ✅ Here are 5 behaviours of a people-centered manager: 1. Motivates the team first. ↳ Understands that people drive success. 2. Listens and supports. ↳ Takes action on employee concerns. 3. Encourages growth. ↳ Invests in development and learning. 4. Values collaboration. ↳ Seeks team input and ideas. 5. Shares accountability. ↳ Takes responsibility with the team. Great leadership is people-centered. Put your team first, and watch trust and success grow. ------------- ♻️ Repost to help someone in your network. Follow Linda Scotti, EIA, CPQC for more.

Your company culture isn’t defined by what’s written on your website. It's far more than the ping-pong tables in the break room or free snacks in the kitchen. True culture is how your team feels on Sunday night. ↳ Are they filled with dread at the thought of Monday? ↳ Or are they mentally preparing, excited for the week ahead? When your employees look forward to work, not just for the paycheck, but because they: ↳ Feel valued, ↳ Feel supported, and ↳ Feel aligned with the company’s vision That's when you know you've built something special. Your culture is built in the small, everyday moments: ↳ The candid conversations after a meeting ends. ↳ The extra support given when someone’s struggling. ↳ The recognition that’s given even for the smallest wins. Culture is what people say when the Zoom calls are over, when they’re talking to friends or family about their job. It’s not just a brand message for your social media, but the experience your team members live and breathe every day. Something that cannot be fabricated or forced. ♻️ Repost this to share with others. Image: Workvivo - by Zoom

Don't let a toxic workplace change you. Instead, leave that place. Change your workplace by getting a new one.

I thought I could change my toxic workplace. I was wrong. It changed me instead. I became anxious, stressed, and unhappy. My mental health suffered. But then I learned an important lesson. No job is worth sacrificing your wellbeing. Here's what I wish I knew earlier: → Seeking support is a sign of strength → Setting boundaries is crucial, not selfish → Toxic cultures rarely improve from within → Mental health is your most valuable asset → Sometimes, the bravest thing is walking away Leadership research shows: → Toxic environments harm productivity. → They drive away top talent. → They damage people. You deserve better. Prioritize yourself. Your mental health matters more than any job.💚 _______________________ ♻️ Repost to protect your friends. 🔔 Follow Steven Claes for daily posts on Leadership - HR and Culture

Don't let a toxic work environment rule you. We can help you find something better. You deserve it!

I came across this insightful post of Gav Blaxberg about 10 tips for spotting a toxic work environment and I absolutely love it! It highlights several critical red flags that are worth noting for anyone who wants to ensure they’re in a healthy workplace. Here's a quick breakdown of each point: 1. High Turnover: A high number of employees leaving in quick succession can be a strong indicator of underlying problems. It often reflects dissatisfaction with the management or work culture. 2. Poor Communication: When there’s a breakdown in communication or information isn’t flowing freely, misunderstandings and frustrations build up quickly. Transparency is key to a healthy work environment. 3. Negative Reviews: Constant negative feedback on job review sites like Glassdoor often point to unresolved issues in the company. Pay attention to patterns in these reviews. 4. Micromanagement: Excessive control over every task limits creativity and morale. It also signals a lack of trust in employees and can push them to disengage or leave. 5. Unreasonable Workloads: Piling on unrealistic demands can burn out even the most dedicated employees. Balancing workloads is essential for long-term satisfaction and productivity. 6. No Work-Life Balance: If you're constantly working late or being on-call 24/7, that's a sign of poor work-life integration. Without balance, burnout becomes inevitable. 7. Office Gossip: A workplace full of backstabbing and rumors indicates a lack of trust and professionalism. Gossip undermines morale and creates a toxic atmosphere. 8. Disrespect: Bullying, harassment, or general disrespect toward employees creates a hostile work environment that no one should tolerate. 9. Limited Growth: Companies that don't offer opportunities for career advancement are essentially telling employees they don't see a future with them. Growth opportunities are key for engagement and retention. 10. Unethical Practices: Being asked to participate in or overlook unethical behavior is a major red flag. A company's integrity is paramount, and no job is worth compromising your values. It’s important to recognize these signs early to make informed decisions about your professional environment. Let’s prioritize healthy workplaces where people can thrive! #ToxicWorkEnvironment #WorkplaceCulture #Leadership #ProfessionalGrowth #WorkLifeBalance #Career #HR
