Identifies individuals strengths, interests and abilities related to skill acquisition, job development and placement. Determines appropriate community support services for training and successful employment and makes necessary referrals. Works collaboratively with local business and industry to meet local employment needs. Project Search is a nationally-renowned program designed to support people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities as they seek employment in non-traditional jobs. Participants over the age of 21 develop job and work skills with the goal of shaping a career path with practical knowledge gained from working in several departments. Involvement in day-to-day operations offers an advantage when applying for long-term employment. Creative Expressions is designed for people seeking to improve their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social skills by expressing themselves in a variety of creative ways, while getting involved in their community. Group and individual sessions are available. ART Our Art Program gives individuals access to a variety of mediums including drawing, painting, sculpture, book arts, printmaking, and digital animation guided by our art specialist to explore the unique mark each individual makes, influencing the world around them. MUSIC Music Therapy uses a wide range of musical experiences to promote the health and well-being of individuals by enhancing and transforming their lives. HORTICULTURE Horticulture at The Eberhardt Center greenhouse exercises all of the senses, from the smell of flowers and hands-on gardening, to enjoying freshly grown vegetables.
