The Women's Affordable Housing Network (WAHN) is looking for leaders who would like to serve as mentors and also those individuals looking to be mentored. Sign up to share experience, expertise, enthusiasm, and engagement in the affordable housing industry. Congrats to Maia Cooper for kicking this off.
The affordable housing industry is multifaceted with female leaders in development, construction, design, management, legal, IT, HR, and so many other areas. I have been proud to work with the Ohio Women's Affordable Housing Network to spearhead a new mentorship program to connect women in our industry with one another. The first round of mentorship pairings have resulted in real time networking, connections, and meaningful relationships that will help the next generation of female leaders in affordable housing. I am very excited to work with Women's Affordable Housing Network (WAHN) to further build mentorship opportunities across America to help further expand access to this amazing network of female leaders across our industry. Check out the link below if you are interested in serving as a mentor or have interest in sharing this opportunity within your organization for women interested in receiving mentorship opportunities! https://lnkd.in/gvMAjn8T

Congratulations to The Doris on Main on being named the first completed development for BUILD WV, an innovative West Virginia program designed to support the expansion of technical, industrial, and commercial markets for the state by providing tax incentives to developers and buildings for constructing qualified housing projects. The Doris on Main is a 46-unit market rate property in downtown Wheeling with tremendous support from the City of Wheeling, as well as the Regional Economic Development Partnership (RED), in order to help attract professionals and others to downtown living. Primary financing was provided by PNC Bank and Ohio Valley ADC, Inc. The four-story building offers 19 one-bedroom and 27 two-bedroom quality apartments with contemporary flooring and cabinetry, quartz countertops and designer lighting. The kitchens are fully equipped with ENERGY STAR appliances including dishwashers. All units have washer/dryers. Two-bedroom units have added built-in cabinetry in dining areas. Community spaces include a multipurpose community room with kitchenette, fitness center, coffee lounge, theater room, and roof top terrace. The Doris on Main is named in honor of the late Doris Ann Ingold Woda, mother Jeffery J. Woda. She was a long-time Ohio Valley businesswoman who was instrumental in helping Mr. Woda launch Woda Development and Construction, Inc., a predecessor to Woda Cooper Companies, Inc.
