In Sunday's Op-Ed for The Florida Times-Union I Jacksonville.com (picked up by Yahoo News), Mike Brannigan, President and CEO of The Suddath Companies argues that the pending implementation of the Global Household Goods contract by the Department of Defense’s U.S. Transportation Command, or TRANSCOM, is the single biggest challenge facing the moving and storage industry in serving its military communities. The new program places a single private consortium, with limited experience in military moves, in charge of coordinating all military relocations. Read more in Mike's own words, backed by Suddath's unique perspective with over 75 years of military moving experience, about how the implementation of this contract means handing over 400,000 service members and their families who move each year to an "untested monopoly."

We are extremely honored to have been named International Moving Company of the Year! 🏆 The Forum for Expatriate Management’s (FEM)’s Expatriate Management and Mobility Awards – or EMMAs as they are more commonly known – recognize excellence and innovation across all areas of global assignment management. The judges reviewed entries with an eye toward outstanding innovation, strategy, results, and the impact of the work on the expatriate community. We’re incredibly proud that they found our proprietary technology, agility to meet the changing needs of today’s global assignees, and commitment to serving the communities in which we live and work worthy of this prestigious award. This marks the sixth time Suddath has been recognized as International Mover of the Year. Thank you to our loyal customers, dedicated workforce, and FEM for helping us earn such high accolades!

Not to toot our own horn (pun intended) but our team has gotten a lot of positive reviews over the past century we've been in business. Nowadays, though, they all come in via email or social media. There's just something about the days when people used to sit down at a typewriter and take the time to send us a letter about how much our services meant to them. Here are a few we've saved over the years. #FlashbackFeedbackFriday

Suddath employees are the best, no ifs, ands or putts! Our eagle-eyed Executive Leadership Team played the Suddath putting green course yesterday as part of Employee Appreciation Week. It was ball or nothing for our home office teams, who put innovation, teamwork and agility into building these greens. Thank you to everyone who participated in this unforegettable event! The winning team will be announced on Friday, and the course will be open for play through Thursday!

Toy trucks have been a staple of the toy and moving industries since the early 1900s, and through the years Suddath and Atlas Van Lines were no exception! As a trusted national van line, Atlas trucks are a big part of Suddath's toy truck collection! There is even one from our history together. What do you think of our old tagline? "S-U-D-D-A-T-H spells service!"

Suddath Orlando Supports Running 4 Heroes Inc.! Project Manager Rey Cuellar of Suddath Workplace Solutions in Orlando responded to a request for support from Running 4 Heroes, a local non-profit organization dedicated to honoring fallen first responders. Driven by his own personal losses of close family friends in the line of duty, Rey reached out to explore the possibility of donating Suddath’s moving services for the cause. The Orlando crew assisted in relocating the Running 4 Heroes Tribute Hall from its original location in Winter Springs to its new home in Casselberry, Florida. The tribute hall is a sacred space, housing photographs and mementoes from fallen heroes. Pictured from the Suddath crew is Paco Garcia, Christian Jordan, Reynaldo Rosario and Brandon Torres moving a 250-pound steel beam formerly located at the World Trade Center. Running 4 Heroes also extends financial aid to first responders injured in the line of duty, supports families of fallen first responders, and furthermore provides essential equipment to K9 officers. Our team’s involvement in this project is a testament to our core value of Caring and our commitment to serving the broader community. Kudos to the Orlando crew for their service to Running 4 Heroes ❤️
