The South Carolina Health Care Association (SCHCA) is a member-driven statewide nonprofit association representing more than 90 percent of the long-term care facilities in the state. One of the primary goals of the Association is to improve and advance the long-term care profession by providing members with ongoing opportunities for professional enhancement. By doing so, we enable member facilities to be on the forefront of providing superior care to the state’s most vulnerable population.

Beginning Aug. 28, 2024, DPH will no longer report respiratory disease outbreaks in schools, childcare centers and long-term care facilities as part of the weekly Respiratory Disease Watch. However, DPH will continue to work with schools, childcare and long-term care facilities to address respiratory disease outbreaks and reduce risk.
