  • We're excited to celebrate the third anniversary of our mural, "Love Is A Many Gendered Thing," created in collaboration with The Avenue Concept's Residency program and Open Door Health. This vibrant artwork by NYC-based artist Brian Kenny honors the Trans and Queer communities of Providence and beyond. 🩷🩵🎨 The mural is filled with hidden symbolism and features portraits of individuals who have inspired Brian, such as Cristina Hayworth, Tatiana Jones, Sylvia Rivera, and more. It also pays tribute to Matt Garza and their work with the Haus of Glitter in Providence. With symbols representing knowledge, transformation, and gender fluidity, this mural is a powerful celebration of identity. • Celebrating National Health Center Week! Join us in recognizing the vital role of community health centers, like our clinic Open Door Health, in providing quality care to millions of Americans. Here’s how NACHC is making a difference and why it matters to us: 🌟 Health Center / Workforce Funding: NACHC is securing more funds to support patient care and build a strong workforce, addressing rising costs and Medicaid impacts. 💪 340B Program: We're working to protect the 340B program for affordable medication access, advocating for legislative solutions to stabilize it. 🏥 EPPOC Strategy: Our goal is for health centers to be the Employer, Provider, and Partner of Choice, expanding primary care access to serve 1 in 3 Americans. 📚 Training: NACHC offers free or low-cost training for health center staff, supporting professional development in key areas like financial management and leadership. Your support makes a difference. Let's celebrate health centers during National Health Center Week!

  • Exciting News! We at RIPHI are thrilled to be part of this groundbreaking initiative requested by our patients at Open Door Health! Rhode Island has just passed a game-changing PrEP Access Law, ensuring easier and more timely access to HIV prevention medications for all who need them. This is a monumental step in our fight against HIV, and we couldn't be more excited! Thank you to Governor McKee and the Rhode Island legislature for leading the way in HIV prevention. This new law will significantly impact our community by eliminating barriers like high co-pays and prior authorizations, ensuring that everyone has access to the protection they deserve. Learn more at the link below. 🏳️🌈❤️ https://lnkd.in/eCyEX9Bf
