We're excited to celebrate the third anniversary of our mural, "Love Is A Many Gendered Thing," created in collaboration with The Avenue Concept's Residency program and Open Door Health. This vibrant artwork by NYC-based artist Brian Kenny honors the Trans and Queer communities of Providence and beyond. 🩷🩵🎨 The mural is filled with hidden symbolism and features portraits of individuals who have inspired Brian, such as Cristina Hayworth, Tatiana Jones, Sylvia Rivera, and more. It also pays tribute to Matt Garza and their work with the Haus of Glitter in Providence. With symbols representing knowledge, transformation, and gender fluidity, this mural is a powerful celebration of identity. Rhode Island has just passed a game-changing PrEP Access Law, ensuring easier and more timely access to HIV prevention medications for all who need them. This is a monumental step in our fight against HIV, and we couldn't be more excited!⁠ ⁠ Thank you to Governor McKee and the Rhode Island legislature for leading the way in HIV prevention. Spent this beautiful Friday at the RI Stimulant Conference, hosted by the RI Department of Behavioral Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Hospitals. The day featured riveting speakers and an incredible opening by our very own Dr. Chan!
