🌟 Our Latest Grant Recipient: "The STEM Project" At The Pollination Project, we believe in the transformative power of grassroots changemakers. Today, we're honored to introduce you to Srishti Gulati, whose initiative "The STEM Project" is tackling one of India's most pressing educational challenges: the digital divide. The gap is profound: In many underprivileged households, a single mobile phone serves a family of eight, often restricted to male members. Meanwhile, children from privileged backgrounds navigate the digital world with ease from an early age. This disparity isn't just about technology—it's about fundamental access to future opportunities. The STEM Project's approach is comprehensive and impact-driven: ✳️ Provides hands-on education in science, math, computing, and robotics ✳️ Has already transformed the lives of 250+ children ✳️ Delivers intensive 2-5 month cohort-based programs ✳️ Focuses on including girls and marginalized communities ✳️ Supplies essential equipment and technologies for experiential learning Drawing from her extensive experience with organizations like Teach for India, Srishti identified a critical gap in STEM education access. Her solution? Create an initiative that doesn't just teach technology but opens doors to future possibilities. Our grant will support: ✴️ Expansion to additional educational institutions ✴️ Purchase of robotics kits ✴️ Access to tablets/laptops for resource-deficient environments ✴️ Upskilling workshops for adolescents and college-going youth This is more than an educational initiative—it's an investment in equality, innovation, and India's future workforce. We're proud to support changemakers like Srishti who are building bridges to opportunity, one student at a time. Transformative change often starts at the grassroots level, and that's exactly what's happening in Mexico's animal welfare movement. The Pollination Project's Global Animal Advocacy Program is bridging crucial gaps in animal protection across Mexico. Our innovative approach? Uniting companion animal activists with the farm animal protection movement, creating unprecedented momentum for systemic change. The results have been significative. Our network of dedicated advocates across six Mexican states has: ✳️ Built powerful coalitions for nationwide reform. ✳️ Secured initial congressional support for groundbreaking animal protection legislation. ✳️ Created sustainable partnerships between previously disconnected advocacy groups. This initiative demonstrates how strategic capacity building and coalition development can accelerate social change. It's a testament to the power of grassroots leadership in shaping policy and transforming cultural perspectives. 🎥 Watch our impact video to see this transformative work in action and meet the changemakers who are reshaping animal welfare in Mexico. https://lnkd.in/dxRVqpB8 #AnimalWelfare #SocialImpact #Sustainability #NonprofitLeadership #Mexico #GrantMaking #SocialChange #AnimalRights #Philanthropy #Grants #Heartivism
