October is National Book Month 📚 Celebrate by joining The Nora Project’s Read to Lead Challenge! Through the end of the month, we challenge you to engage with inclusive stories as much as possible. Here at The Nora Project we know the vital importance of accurate and diverse representation in literature and beyond. It teaches that all identities and experiences are valid and that there’s no such thing as “normal,” two key tenets of our programming. Educator Kim Smith shares, “I think inclusive reading is giving students the opportunity to see themselves and others in the stories that they are reading. Whether that’s a picture book or a chapter book, or just a quick article. Seeing the perspectives of others is really important and gives them the opportunity to widen their worldview.” Join Read to Lead at https://lnkd.in/ewMBKAUJ #ReadToLead #TheNoraProjectsReadToLead #ReadingChallenge #BackToSchool #ReadingList #BookRecommendations #Bookstagram #Bookstagrammer #KidsLit #ChildrensLiterature #TheNoraProject #Inclusion #Empathy #Disability #Friendship #Diversity #DisabilityInclusion #DisabilityStudies #Parents #Parenting #Resources #SocialEmotionalLearning #SEL #InclusionMatters #Principals #InclusiveEducation #Teachers #DiversityEquityInclusion #DEI #Accessibility Video Description: A white slide has a circular, navy blue Read to Lead logo with a book icon.
