Believe it or not, there are animals swimming around in this video!🔦 Introducing the flashlight fish, who are easily identified by the glowing, crescent moon-shaped spots under their eyes. These flashing spots are actually small organs with bioluminescent bacteria. Flashlight fish use this organ to locate and feed on their prey. These fish can even "turn off" this glowing effect by “blinking” and putting up dark membranes to cover the light. 🌙🌟 You can find these glowing fish in our Ocean Explorer habitat near the giant Pacific octopus!

About us
Loveland Living Planet Aquarium is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides the community with countless educational opportunities to understand and respect our precious Earth and its living ecosystems, from the Utah deserts and mountains, to rain forest habitats, to the planet’s vast oceans. Loveland Living Planet Aquarium has become one of Utah´s most unique and popular attractions, and is definitely a must-see if you are planning a trip to Utah. Exhibits feature sharks, rays, seahorses and jellyfish as well as octopus, eels, piranha, a rescued Green sea turtle and Gentoo penguins! It is a unique opportunity for the many landlocked Utahans, particularly children, who have not previously had the chance to interact with such creatures.

When you’re just swimming around, but someone tries to steal your favorite rock🏃💨 Asian small-clawed otters are a very social species and enjoy the company of other otters. The wrestling-like behaviors shown in the video are something they do to strengthen bonds with other otters, and even help with their hunting skills! You can watch this playful pair twisting and turning in our Ford Expedition Asia habitat! 🦦
