Maybe it’s partly the ‘Brooklyn native meets California cool at a global-scale’ in me, but in all seriousness, it’s more about the joy I get building a meaningful connection – with another person, a small group, a large audience. As I consider this topic, it occurs to me that the most valuable ‘resource’ in achieving great presence doesn’t cost a cent, and you can’t read about it in a book and suddenly be great at it. BUT – we all have access to it! 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲: - ears - eyes - and intuition. Because one of the most powerful tools we have to create a memorable presence is the ability to listen - to a colleague, a partner, a team, an audience. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼? 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱, 𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹. That’s presence. #executivepresence

This post is for job seekers who may be a little discouraged, and for hiring teams considering how to find your next highest-impact employee! I was in a conversation the other day with a bright, mid-career woman in between jobs. And she was feeling anxious that her experience didn't match the job she wanted... So I wrote this. If after reading the article, if I can support you in finding (or perhaps I’m a fit) a great leadership or career coach to partner with you or your teams on this journey, please reach out for an exploratory call! #calendarinbio The Lens Leadership #jobseekers #hiringmanagers #HiringforImpact

I'm proud to share that I have officially completed the #MIT Sloan / CSAIL Executive Program, Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy. I wrote an article reflecting on some of the perspectives I took away as it relates to leadership, the future of business success and work, and yes, the value of leaders partnering with a coach with context. I'd love to hear your perspectives after reading this article! #MIT #AI #machinelearning #humanconsciousness #humanskills #powerskills #collectiveintelligence #innovation #managingchange #leadershipcoach #futureofwork #customersuccess #leadership #artificialintelligence The Lens Leadership

And when we become truly present to them - in other words - when we become AWARE that we ARE or ARE NOT exercising these attributes, we each of us can step back and make a new choice. The results can be quite astounding. No matter what we are up to at work and in life! I’ve always been a fan of the power of language, in more ways than one, and especially in the context of life and leadership. Currently, I’m also busy gaining a deeper understanding of AI and machine learning to strengthen my perspectives on this paradigm-shifting time we are all in. One of the themes in my learning is about humans and machines being better working together, versus individually. With that said, this week, I’ve partnered with #ChatGPT 4.0 to help me come up with some powerful leadership concepts from a variety of cultures. It can be valuable for leaders to look beyond their most obvious or everyday language to help spark new energy or emphasize an idea.
