Four New Orleans-area no-kill animal rescue organizations estimate they will spend $1 million this year on vet bills alone. To offset this cost, more than 500 animal lovers and their four-legged family members will run through Metairie Cemetery on Sunday, Oct. 13 in the 7th annual NOLA Dogs “Race to the Rescue” 5K Run/Walk fundraiser followed by a Blessing of the Pets. Nola Now’s Shelby Latino met with Heavens Pets of Lake Lawn Metairie LLC, Zeus’ Rescues – and rescue pups – to learn more about this family-friendly morning of fitness and fun celebrating the Greater New Orleans pet community. (Pups encounter with Saints Cheer Krewe members was mere happenstance!) For event details and registration, visit: https://lnkd.in/gTQhDqy4 #TEGPR #GulfSouthPR

The facility can process up to 76,000 tons of material a year and will service guests all along the Gulf Coast, from Biloxi, Mississippi to Tallahassee, FL and more! Guests at the event heard from WM Area Vice President Brandon Shaw, WM Vice President Recycling Brent Bell, and several local Florida officials including FWB Mayor Dick Rynearson. Guests also received tours of the brand new facility, and TEGers on-site were able to tour the location as well! #TEGPR #GulfSouthPR

In April of this year, T. Parker Host coordinated the delivery of Louisiana’s first wind turbine to Avondale Global Gateway. Far from being automated, high-level logistics resemble a complex game of Jenga or Tetris, requiring the skill and expertise that Host employees have mastered. The transport of this turbine tested Louisiana’s pre-built infrastructure that could easily become part of the offshore wind supply chain. According to a recent report, more than 450 local companies, including Host and Avondale Global Gateway, are ready to support offshore wind in the Gulf of Mexico. Read more about how Avondale Global Gateway and South Louisiana are poised to become a hub for offshore wind in a recent article from City Business, linked below! #TEGPR #GulfSouthPR https://lnkd.in/geBXxk-m
