Culture Creators has always been about the people and for the people. This past week, we had the privilege of joining City Council President Mary Sheffield at her “11th Annual Occupy the Corner” event to give back to the community. It’s not enough to just talk about serving; we have to pop out and show up where it matters most. This event was particularly special, taking place just steps away from where our founder, Joi Brown, lived and attended elementary school. It was a full-circle moment that reminded us of the importance of staying connected to our roots. The icing on the cake was sharing this moment with Kash Doll and witnessing her deep love for Detroit as she received the “Spirit of Detroit” award from Mary Sheffield. Seeing so many come together for this city was inspiring, and we’re proud to be a part of it.
