“We hope to recruit the next generation of leadership, people who are mid-career and have already accomplished things,” CMS-A Executive Director, Julie Cohen Theobald, shared with WineBusiness Monthly. “Hopefully, someday they’ll become Master Sommeliers.” Building on the success of our inaugural event, the second annual Women’s Sommelier Symposium in Santa Barbara in March, empowered a new generation of women sommeliers. Chosen from more than 100 applicants, 10 women who showcased significant leadership potential were selected to participate in the Symposium with fully sponsored travel. The goal for our second year was to ignite a more significant change in the industry by creating a safe and supportive space for women sommeliers. We'll continue to do so. 🤝 More from the WineBusiness article here: https://lnkd.in/ebE2HYbR ✍️ Brianne Cohen, MBA and DipWSET

Please join us in congratulating a new Master Sommelier! 🎉 We’re delighted to welcome Myles Trapp, MS, to The Court of Master Sommeliers! 👏 During last year’s Master Sommelier Diploma Examination, Myles had to leave before results were announced because his first child was coming into the world ASAP! Fast forward to a year later and now he’s nothing but elated and has even more to celebrate. 👇 “My daughter’s turning one on Sunday, it’s incredible.” Overall, we saw so much talent and passion throughout this Master Sommelier Diploma Examination process. We commend all 25 candidates who sat for this rigorous examination, and we’re looking forward to seeing you all continue to prepare and perform! 🥂 . . . . . . . #mastersommexam #mastersomm #mastersommelier #msexam #worldofwine #wineo #wineknowledge #hospitality #foodandbeverage #wine #mastersommeliers #mastersommeliersamericas #worldofwine #winetasting
