At The Center for Arts & Innovation, Inc., one of our core pillars is education—empowering the leaders of tomorrow by fostering the essential role of creativity in innovation. In today’s 21st-century creative and information economy, skills like critical thinking, collaboration, and adaptability are increasingly essential. Florida Atlantic University, a pillar of education in our community, also upholds these values. It was at FAU that our Founder and CEO Andrea Virgin, PE, LEED AP first developed these critical skills which have catapulted her and The Center's success to where we are today. These same principles that have helped propel us forward are still being offered to the students attending FAU under the expert guidance of Dr. Fred Bloetscher, Dr. Hongbo Su, and Albert Muniz, P.E. We're incredibly grateful to not only have the support of an esteemed educational institution, but a partner who truly shares the same vision as ourselves to uplift the education of our greater community. Kudos to FAU, the professors, and the hardworking students who will certainly serve as the future leaders of tomorrow, right here in Boca Raton!

Creativity is defined as ‘the execution of an idea, which has both originality and value.’ This week, we celebrated our partnerships with the City, County, and State, wherein they underscored the 'value' of creativity through their tremendous support, sending a clear message of their belief that creativity drives growth, innovation, and a more connected community. This backing paves the way for a fresh understanding of creativity’s transformative power—an essential yet often overlooked force shaping our world. By aligning with the forward-thinking values of our governmental partners, this project unlocks opportunities not just for artists and students, but for businesses, the economy, and a new era where creativity is seen for its value in building vibrant, thriving communities. A big thank you to all of our Board Members, Capital Donors, Founders, Community Partners, and Elected Officials who attended this wonderful celebration including State Representative Peggy Gossett-Seidman, State Senator Tina Scott Polsky, Esq., State Representative David Silvers, Legislative Aide Walter Buikus (representing State Representative and Sponsor Mike Caruso), Palm Beach County Commissioner Marci Woodward (District 5), Dave Lawrence, President and CEO of the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, City of Boca Raton Deputy Mayor Yvette Drucker, and Boca Raton Councilwoman and CRA Chair Fran Nachlas. #palmbeachcounty #artsandculture #tourism #community

Our Co-Founder, Chair, and CEO, Andrea Virgin, PE, LEED AP, recently engaged in a dynamic exchange of ideas with the Florida Atlantic University Council of Deans. This insightful session provided an invaluable opportunity to explore the educational needs of our community and further shape The Center for Arts & Innovation, Inc.’s future programming. Hearing their perspectives on creativity and its profound impact on their work was truly inspiring and will play a pivotal role in refining our commitment to education as a pillar of The Center's mission. We look forward to fostering a space that meets the innovative needs of our local academic institutions. We’re honored to be featured in the Boca Raton Museum of Art’s quarterly newsletter, where Executive Director Irvin Lippman reflects on the Museum's storied past and its bright future. Designed by architect Donald Singer and opened in 2001, the Museum has long served as a cultural cornerstone in Mizner Park, continuously enriching Boca Raton’s vibrant arts scene. As the Museum embarks on its next phase, we are thrilled to contribute to its evolution. The Center for Arts & Innovation, which will be the Museum's new neighbor, is designed by the legendary RPBW Renzo Piano Building Workshop one of the world’s most renowned architects. Renzo Piano’s work is celebrated for its ability to seamlessly blend innovative design with a deep respect for community and environment—qualities that align perfectly with our mission to foster creativity and collaboration. The addition of The Center to Mizner Park will not only elevate the Museum's offerings but will also transform Mizner Park into a dynamic cultural hub. Together, we are laying the groundwork for a complex that will serve as a beacon of cultural and civic pride, attracting visitors and artists from around the world. A sincere thank you to Irvin Lippman Museum Chair John D. DesPrez III and immediate past Chair Jody Harrison Grass for their visionary leadership and partnership. It’s an incredible privilege to work alongside the Boca Raton Museum of Art in shaping the future of arts and culture in our community.

Boca’s Got Talent at Crazy Uncle Mikes Brewery, hosted by Michael Goodwin, is more than just a fun night out—it’s a powerful opportunity for our community to come together and make a difference. This showcase of local talent directly supports Myla’s Beleaf, a non-profit committed to aiding families impacted by childhood cancer. Supported by Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce and the support of Commissioner Steven Engel, this event exemplifies the incredible impact that can be achieved when we unite for a common cause. Whether you're a business professional or a community member, your involvement can help drive meaningful change. Let’s leverage our collective strength to support this important mission. It’s been a long road to get to where we are today. It’s hard to believe that six years ago, The Center was just the seed of an idea that continues to grow. Fast forward to this April, and we achieved an important milestone: the unveiling of the initial concept design by the renowned Renzo Piano Building Workshop. A lot of hard work from so many of our partners has led us to that design milestone, and when you’re building a project of such magnitude that’s equipped to serve the next generations to come, there’s even more work to be done. As we continue to refine the design and adhere to the regulatory development process, we’re anticipating breaking ground in 2027. As we pick up steam, our group of supporters who believe in our vision continues to grow. We are grateful to the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners for recently awarding nearly $1 million to the project through a Cultural Capital Fund Grant, approved unanimously by a 7-0 vote last month. We are working tirelessly to bring this transformative project to life, a globally revolutionary creativity and innovation hub in Boca Raton that will be unlike any project that’s come before it. Thank you for your continued support in bringing this vision to fruition. We are excited to share more updates in the coming weeks. #TheCenterforArtandInnovation #BocaRaton #RenzoPiano
