About us
BCRF is the highest-rated breast cancer organization in the U.S. We provide critical funding for cancer research worldwide to fuel advances in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, metastasis and survivorship. Since our founding in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder, BCRF has raised more than half a billion dollars for lifesaving research. Through a unique and streamlined grants program, we seek out the brightest minds in science and medicine and give them the necessary resources to pursue their best ideas. As a result, researchers are able to make discoveries and design new approaches to address all aspects of breast cancer—and do so in record time. Learn more and join us at www.bcrf.org.

Marking 20 years of impact, the KnitWell Group has announced their newest campaign, the “Sisterhood of Strength,” highlighting the stories of 20 resilient breast cancer thrivers. “The Sisterhood of Strength builds on the incredible legacy created by Ann Taylor and LOFT over the last 20 years, who together have raised more than $62 million for BCRF and their lifesaving research,” said Lizanne Kindler, Executive Chair and Chief Executive Officer of KnitWell Group. “As a female-led organization that serves women across a broad demographic with eight brands, this is a cause that touches each and every one of us in a significant way. Individually, our brands are strong. Together, we are powerful and know we can make an even greater impact with the support of our associates and our customers. And that’s what we intend to do with the Sisterhood of Strength.” This year, customers can donate in store and online, as well as purchase brand-specific Cares Cards that not only raise crucial funds for BCRF but also offer a discount on their purchases. Select KnitWell retailers will sell additional BCRF-supporting merchandise, host “Shop for a Cause” events with a percentage of the day’s sales benefitting the Foundation, and match customer donations made on Pink Day, October 5, in store and online. October has arrived and while many might be thinking about candy and costumes, I’m thinking about the amazing support of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation by the Delta Air Lines team that’s taking place over the next month. We kicked things off with a very special tradition for us at Delta. Every fall, we celebrate our “Breast Cancer One” charter that carries employee breast cancer survivors and fighters. This year’s flight, better known as the Pink Party, took our team to San Diego and demonstrated nearly 20 years of this tradition. It’s a true representation of strength and celebrating one another. Together, we’ll continue to fight for a cure through fundraising and raising awareness all month. I hope you’ll join in, wear your pink when you fly with us in October and that you’ll be a part of helping us conquer this disease.
