    When education and Gen AI technology meet 🤝 We have a new tie up with grad students at Northwestern University offering our Gen AI marketing platform Pencil ✏️ as part of the curriculum for its Digital Storytelling Masters. 💥 This is the first time ever that students have had access to a platform like Pencil - and special thanks to Anas Ghazi, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Digital Storytelling at Northwestern's Master of Science in Communication Program, who has been the driving force behind our collaboration 👏 . It will culminate in them showcasing their new expertise in a live pitch for Sharing Excess' year-end fundraising campaign across TikTok, LinkedIn and Instagram. 📜 Once the course is completed, students will be awarded a certificate verifying their expertise in Gen AI, which will be showcased via a Pencil Pro Certification LinkedIn badge, intended to provide them with a competitive edge in the job market. Additionally, top performers may secure internships with The Brandtech Group, creating a seamless link between education and industry 🥳. “This initiative is incredibly well-aligned with what we’re trying to achieve at Brandtech,” said Rebecca Sykes, Brandtech Partner and Head of Emerging Technologies. “We don’t just want to train the next generation of AI talent in marketing, we want to hire them!     🎃 Exciting Halloween Fun with AI Tools! 🎃 A huge thank you to Jenny Nicholson for her insightful Masterclass on leveraging AI tools – it was truly inspiring! Thanks to her session, I decided to dive into Websim.ai and was inspired to create something playful for the spooky season. The result? A Pumpkin Decorator game! 🎃 Check out the initial experiment here just using prompts: https://lnkd.in/dAhAfkfZ It’s not winning any design awards, but the capabilities with just a simple prompt were mind-blowing! This sparked a desire to expand the concept further so I turned to the OLIVER Agency AI Sandbox and collaborated with ChatGPT to get the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Despite my limited programming knowledge, AI was the perfect co-pilot to explain the code to me and help bring this idea to life. With a few personal tweaks, assistance from Adobe Firefly, and some custom assets, a simple game was made.     “It’s not about the future potential, it’s actually here now!” 💥 Our CEO and founder David Jones sat down with Google VP and Managing Director of France Sébastien Missoffe this month to discuss his vision for Brandtech and how we see Gen AI changing the way consumers connect with brands. 💥 “It’s going to fundamentally disrupt marketing beyond all recognition,” says David. “I think it will be a bigger revolution in marketing than television, the internet and mobile combined.     “Brandtech has found a way to avoid bias in generative AI” Brandtech launches Bias Breaker, an innovative technology that aims to combat the well-known biases of generative AI. Great article in France’s la Réclame this week by Xuoan Duquesne 👉 https://lnkd.in/e8Sgq-FE ❓ How does Bias Breaker work? Integrated into the Pencil generative AI platform, this technology introduces probability-based inclusivity criteria into prompts, such as age, origins or gender identity. The goal is to create results that reflect a broader diversity, moving away from traditional biases and paving the way for more responsible AI. ⚖️ In our tests, we found that some LLMs showed between 98-100% images of men when asked to generate ‘a CEO’. Similarly, when La Réclame conducted their own tests to compare against our Bias Breaker results, they found that Midjourney generated one female image from 100 ‘CEO’ images generated. 💥 “The CEO example is just one of the many ways bias manifests itself, and it’s the simple use case we used to demonstrate the challenges and implications of not addressing bias,” says Rebecca Sykes, Brandtech Partner and Head of Emerging Tech. “There are many other examples, from the obvious – nurses and care workers are overwhelmingly female, there’s a distinct lack of disability representation, etc – to the much more nuanced. With Bias Breaker, we hope to address all of these.” Rebecca partnered with Tyra Jones-Hurst, Managing Partner of OLIVER Agency US and founder of InKroud Agency - part of The Brandtech Group - to test and frame Bias Breaker. 💥 “The answer to this problem of bias in Gen AI is far from set in stone but one thing’s for certain - brands and advertisers cannot simply accept bias as the status quo,” explains Tyra. #GenAI #Brandtech #AIpowered #FutureofAI

    When the present day, the future and history all combine. ⚡ Speaking about the tectonic change underway thanks to AI and how it will lead to the greatest creative revolution since the beginning of humanity, is especially poignant in the lecture theater of a near-500-year-old Jesus College, Oxford. 💥 “Everything else we’ve had to cope with since the 1950s has been a vertical: television advertising is a vertical, the internet, social media, ecommerce, gaming are all verticals. Good for some things and for some brands but not for all,” said our founder and CEO David Jones, speaking at the Oxford Generative AI Summit this month. 🧠 “Gen AI is a horizontal. There is not a single thing that humans use their brains for today that you can’t already do better, faster and cheaper using AI. And the current AI we have is actually pretty crap compared to where we will get to! It's the speed of progress that I’m most excited about.” ✨ David was one of a mind-expanding line-up of speakers at the Oxford event - hosted in Jesus College, which was founded in 1571 - exploring how Gen AI is already creating monumental waves in marketing.     We're using AI to generate exponential scale and drive massive brand performance. 💥 “AI is a technology - and its application, and therefore its impact, is entirely dependent on who uses it, to do what and for what gain. So I think the big question is: is your brand in good or bad health?” 💥 Our Head of Emerging Tech and Partner, Rebecca Sykes, took part in MIT Technology Review’s incredible EmTech conference earlier this month, where she explained why brands need to understand and codify who they are more than ever in the age of AI. 💥 “If you know who you are - by which I mean you know what you stand for, you know what makes you different, you know how you look, how you sound, why people love you, what they expect from you - then your brand has values and purpose, and people align with that. 💥 “For you, AI has the potential to infinitely scale the impact of this. You are going to easily be able to codify your brand so it can be read by a machine. AI-led automation and scaling of marketing will, therefore, be a very natural and hugely beneficial step for your brand.” 💥 She continued: “If you don't know who you are, your brand understanding is low, you're not very distinctive, then codifying your brand from this starting point to leverage AI is going to be really, really difficult. You are likely to exponentially scale the problems that you have. You probably have some work to do before AI is going to be a truly positive force within your organization. 💥 “If you are lucky to be in the enviable position of having a distinctive brand with clear values then you should be grabbing AI with both hands, because it can have an immediate and dramatic impact on your workflows and your practices." 🚀 #EmTechMIT #GenAI #Brandtech #AIpowered #FutureofAI
