John and his friend from high school were thrilled to discover that they both landed jobs starting on the same day at the same place! They both worked with The Arc of the Ozarks Employment Solutions for job support, utilizing Vocational Rehabilitation resources. After successfully completing Discovery and Exploration, they quickly moved into Job Development and received job offers in no time. Congrats to both on their exciting new journey!

About us
The Arc of the Ozarks was formed and incorporated as a not-for-profit organization. Our mission is to support individuals with disabilities in directing their own lives as a valued members of the community. In 1959, a small group of parents recognized the need for services for children with developmental disabilities. A support network was established for these children and their families, resulting in the 1963-64 establishment of The Arc. Today, The Arc serves individuals with a variety of disabilities. Services include residential, education, training, day habilitation, therapeutic recreation, advocacy, autism services, employment, psychological counseling - generally helping these individuals live, learn and work in our community. The Arc is affiliated with the Arc of the U.S. and our programs are accredited by CARF.

We kicked off the day with a delicious breakfast at Luca’s Family Restaurant, where the chef surprised him with a serenade and a free slice of cheesecake.
