    Have you ever been asked to “do more with less” at work? A not-so-controversial take: “do more with less” is a scam driving an epidemic of bad work and burnout. There, we said it. At some point, you literally can’t do more with less. And we believe that time is now. Managers, HR leaders, and nearly every employee is burned out. It’s never been more challenging to be a manager though: - Managers oversee 3x as many people as they did in 2017 - Managers have 51% more responsibilities than they can effectively manage - Managers spend an annual average of 210 hours on performance management — nearly 30 days out of the year - 59% of managers report spending a significant amount of time on “work to do work” - 62% of individual contributors don’t want to become managers - 1 in 5 current managers would prefer not to be a people manager, if they had a choice More of the same isn’t going to cut it anymore. So, today we’re embarking on our journey to do something about this mess. And the only way out is to do less.
