We're thrilled to share our 2024 (FY23) Sustainability Report. This year’s report marks the first year of metrics aligned with our new sustainability framework Thriving People. Healthy Planet. We’re proud of the work we’re doing to further embed sustainability in all aspects of how we do business and of the ambitious goals we’re setting to make a difference.   In 2023, we made significant progress against our goals and ambitions. Highlights include:   ▪ Launched Thriving People. Healthy Planet. workstreams across the business, driving the continued integration of sustainability across our plants, operations, and products. ▪ Integrated our net-zero targets into product line strategies. ▪ Maintained progress toward our validated net-zero targets by: ▫ Reducing our Scope 1 and 2 (operations and fleet) greenhouse gas emissions by 13% compared to the 2021 base year. ▫ Sourcing 92% of our global electricity from renewable energy sources. ▫ Reducing our Scope 3 Category 11 (use of sold products) emissions by 8% compared to the 2021 base year. ▪ We also made strides in our DE&I journey: ▫ In 2023, 23.0% of leadership positions globally were held by women, an increase from the 2022 base year and on track toward our 2030 ambition. ▫ In 2023, 25.4% of U.S. employees identified as BIPOC, an increase from the 2022 base year and on track toward our 2030 ambition. ▪ Invested over $1.1 million to support the communities in which we operate through the Tennant Foundation and corporate philanthropy. ▪ In 2023, in partnership with our customers, our products enabled the cleaning of 9.7 trillion square feet of shared spaces. What do you get when you mix camping themed activities, Tennant headquarters, and lots of kids? Tennant's annual Kids Day of course! Families of employees enjoyed a bounce house, making trail mix, "fishing," a scavenger hunt, t-shirt painting, and building a Tennant machine out of LEGO. Attendees also learned about the honeybees on the property that are a part of research by the University of Minnesota Bee Squad. 🐝 A big thanks to all the employees that volunteered their time to make this event happen!

As our summer interns wrap up their projects, we want to thank each of them for the excellent and meaningful work they did over the past few months. The interns at our headquarters in Minnesota and our Holland, Michigan facility worked in Marketing, Engineering, Finance and Business Operations to solve real business challenges, implement changes, and make improvements throughout their departments. This group of individuals are smart, talented, savvy and motivated and we're so thankful they gave us their time and effort this summer!

Tennant Company posts strong performance for the second quarter of 2024. “We are pleased to report a record second quarter performance. As our investments in our enterprise growth strategy continue to yield positive results, we are confident the second half of the year will see strong performance supported by increased order rates,” said Dave Huml, Tennant President and Chief Executive Officer.

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are one of the important ways we can create an inclusive work environment where employees feel welcome, valued, and confident they can succeed at Tennant. Our ERGs create space for employees who share an identity to work together, along with allies who support the mission, to help educate and create connections across our organization. This month we're introducing two new ERGs-- 1️⃣ PRIDE (Promote, Respect, Include, Develop, Empower) offers support and allyship for LGBTQ+ employees in addition to providing resources, advocacy and a sense of community 2️⃣ RISE (Racial Inclusion, Support, Equity) seeks to drive inclusion, harness strengths and promote solidarity among BIPOC employees and allies PRIDE and RISE will join the two other employee resource groups at Tennant--TEAL, Tennant's women-focused ERG and TEND, an ERG for neurodivergent employees and allies. We’re excited to see our network of ERGs grow and expand globally as we work together to realize our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives at Tennant Company.

Tennant Company once again sponsored the Street Scrubbing Parade--part of the annual 🌷 Tulip Time Festival 🌷 in Holland, Michigan--which brings thousands of tourists to the area each year. The Tennant team brought a variety of machines on a cool, rainy day to downtown Holland for the 1.5 mile parade route. Thanks to Logix Transportation Inc for their support in transporting the equipment to the parade.

🎉 Congratulations to Izet S. from St. Louis, Missouri for being selected as the winner of our 5th annual Custodians are Key contest! Izet was presented with a $10,000 check for his school at a celebration Friday. He'll also receive a $5,000 value prize for himself! 🎁
