"Team RWB has been life-changing," Curtis shares. "It's given me the tools and support to build a healthier, more connected life." Curtis, a former Army combat medic, found a new mission with Team RWB. Fueled by support from our community, Curtis is crushing goals and proving that veterans' best days are always ahead. As a nonprofit, Team RWB has empowered over 18,300 veterans and service members, including Curtis, to prioritize their health this year through our Digital Garrison program. Your tax-deductible donation can help us reach even more in 2024. Give today and join our mission to forge America's leading health and wellness community for veterans.

On June 9, 2010, Judy Gentz’s firstborn son, Air Force Lieutenant Joel L. Gentz, was just 25 years old when his UH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter crashed outside of FOB Jackson in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, during a rescue mission. Gentz and four other crew members were tragically killed in the incident. Today, we honor the Gold Star Mothers and Families who carry that sacrifice every day. We run for them—for those who can’t. Will you?

A survey of 155,000 people by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine showed that just a little movement makes people 33% less likely to experience sleep problems, and 50% of those surveyed reported less daytime fatigue. Whether you’re running, walking, gardening, or playing rugby like our badass ambassador Kristen Domke—movement matters. You don’t need perfection, just persistence. Eagles don’t stay still. Move your body, earn your rest.

A transformation of our collective mindset—that’s what we’re all about. Our approach to mental health focuses on testing resilience and meeting each challenge with gratitude. The Texas heat was a beast, but it couldn’t stop us from conquering Enchanted Rock. Our first state-led Eagle Expedition was a smashing success. The power of veterans coming together in nature, forging new bonds, is undeniable. Our time in the Texas Hill Country was just another testament to the strength of Eagle Nation. 🦅 🔥

"I've had seven different surgeries, adding metal rods and screws to my body. My back and neck are fused in several places, and both of my SI joints are fused. I had a right hip replacement surgery. I also battled depression and ended up in the psych ward with suicidal ideations. Finding this group at Team RWB, along with the extra push from my wife, has helped so much in my journey. I saw a Couch to 5K program on Team RWB’s Facebook page. In CrossFit, there’s often running as part of the workout, and I thought it would help increase my stamina and cardiovascular health. So I decided to try the Couch to 5K. Before that, I hadn’t run since 2010 because I was told I couldn’t.” Air Force Veteran Brandon Smith, a Team RWB Running Group Coordinator, has faced his fears in full stride and emerged stronger than ever. “I refuse to live in fear any longer. I never expected to be able to run again, let alone be training for a half marathon. Two years ago I didn’t even think I’d be alive. Running is where I've finally found calm and peace. It's amazing the things that being active can do for both body and mind. I want to let other people know that anything is possible. Even if 100 people are telling you that you can’t do it, try it. Take the first step. Make this your day one."

"My brother Claude died in my arms and I laid him on the ground like I was supposed to, then I called them over to grab him. The Japanese dumped him in a trench. The bodies were all twisted and turned, about 75 of them in one hole." SGT Alfred Haws (Bataan Death March Survivor) They endured the unimaginable. Their courage is the fire that fuels us. On POW/MIA Day, we remember the warriors whose lives were taken and those who are still missing. We push harder for them.
