    The WNBA will receive $2.2 billion in media rights revenue over the next 11 years (via The Athletic) This is about 4 times as much as previous deals, showing the rapid surge in the popularity of women’s sports and the WNBA. The National Basketball Association (NBA) is looking at $78 billion in the same package, which is almost locked in as the league currently awaits approval from the NBA board of governors. As the WNBA grows in popularity, new expansion teams have been announced. The Golden State Valkyries are set to launch in 2025 and will become the WNBA’s 13th team.In 2026, Toronto will host the WNBA’s 14th team, whose name is to be determined. Beyond these two additions, the WNBA’s Commissioner, Cathy Engelbert is hoping to add two more teams by 2028. Which is just in time for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. The cities that Engelbert mentioned the WNBA is considering expanding into are as follows: Portland Philadelphia Denver Nashville South Florida The WNBA Expansion Project, by The Jersey Club, imagined what a 23-team league would look like in the future, with logo mockups as seen in this image. On July 18th, 2024, Front Office Sports announced that the league is expanding its regular season length from 40 to 44 games. Just five years ago, in 2019, the league held 34 games in the regular season each year. One thing to note is that the WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) is still going to be operating in the red but is hoping to turn it around and reach profitability sometime in the near future. To pour even more gas on the first, New Balance is joining the action by locking in a multiyear partnership with the WNBA. At TDAY Sports, we have been investing in the growth of the WNBA since the spring of 2023, just a few months after our launch, as we believe in the current and potential of the WNBA. We have been regularly showcasing WNBA stories and moments on our social media, and we are excited about the continued growth of the league!

    My advice to all college students who are starting school now!⬇️ 1. Talk to everybody.👋 You will be surprised how many like-minded people you will meet and you will also be surprised how many people know each other in a very short time. This applies to non-college students as well. It's not about who you know; it's about who knows you. 2. Get Involved selectively.🧐 Use the first month to determine which clubs/activities truly provide value and which might be time-wasters. Learning this fast helps save some stress and allows you to hone in. 3. Have fun!🚀 College can be stressful but it is the best 4 years of your life. It goes by in a literal second, and you are with your friends all the time, enjoy it! P.S. to all Penn State University students: Make sure to check out TDAY Sports sampling tables around Allen Street & Pugh Street all year long! We will be handing out SMACKIN’ seeds and working with other brands as well... If you work for a brand that wants sampling in State College, let's chat!🤟

    In June, we made a MASSIVE Instagram change... We took our main TDAY Sports Instagram page which had over 600,000 followers to BestHoops and made BestHoops into TDAY Sports. Why did we do that? Because the page with 600,000 followers was hitting an international audience that only cared about basketball highlights. 1 month later, this change has played out GREAT! In the last month, the now TDAY Sports page has better engagement on a smaller follower account and the BestHoops page gets millions of views weekly! Shoutout to Christopher Reynolds, our head of Instagram content, for spearheading this change! Link in the comments to follow both pages!🤟

    This is the easiest way to grow your following on YouTube📈 And... a LOT of creators don't take advantage of it I am talking about the YouTube community tab. I honestly feel like most people don't even know what the YouTube community tab is, but it is truly the best way to build a community that comes back to your profile every single day. Austin Groft has been posting daily polls on the community tab for TDAY Sports and they get over 30,000 votes per day, which is insane🤯 This has allowed us to drive more traffic to our content and our pages as a whole. Let me know in the comments if you will start taking advantage!🤟
