Media Arts Lab is the bespoke global agency for Apple and only Apple. We think different to create impact for the world’s most iconic brand. In 1984, TBWA helped launch Apple’s first Macintosh personal computer with the iconic “1984” commercial. In 1997, TBWA once again disrupted traditional advertising with the “Think Different” campaign. As the Apple brand grew, the need for a confidential, creative incubator, with a dedicated team focused solely on game-changing work, became more evident. In 2006, TBWA\Media Arts Lab was born. Today, Media Arts Lab has seven dedicated global offices serving 26 markets around the world. Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, Media Arts Lab is housed in a unique 50,000 square foot space, hidden in plain sight from the outside world. Last night, Apple’s “Fuzzy Feelings” won the Emmy for Outstanding Commercial at the 76th Creative Arts Emmy Awards! 🌟 📽 🎞 🌟 "Fuzzy Feelings" is a unique film reflecting on humanity in a divided world, promoting creativity and empathy. Directed by Lucia Aniello via Hungry Man in tandem with stop-motion animator Anna Mantzaris of Passion Pictures, the film urges kindness and a new perspective, seamlessly combining live action and stop-motion. Set to George Harrison's 'Isn't It a Pity,' the holiday film was crafted solely with iPhone and Mac. 🎉 Exciting News!! 🎉 Our incredible team in Tokyo has just won the Grand Prix at MAD STARS 2024 in the Entertainment category for Apple's Shot on iPhone film, *Midnight*! 🌟 🚖 But that’s not all— we also brought home 3 Gold, 3 Silver, and 2 Bronze awards across Integrated, Film, Viral Video, Media, and Outdoor categories. Directed by the legendary Takashi Miike, "Midnight" is a groundbreaking achievement as the first-ever manga-to-live-action adaptation exclusively shot on an iPhone. The film is a meticulous frame-by-frame recreation of a 1986 hidden masterpiece by the ‘God of Manga’ Osamu Tezuka, bringing the thrilling suspense of a taxi driver to life in a 19-minute camera demo that kept viewers on the edge of their seats.
