Dr. Rebecca Taylor-Grant: “As an art history graduate, I’m interested in how we can better support transparency and data sharing in humanities and social sciences. Humanities scholars in particular might not consider that they work with data. So it was really exciting to be able to completely refresh our data sharing guidelines, creating a resource that's more appropriate for those researchers.” Watch this video to learn how our imprint F1000 has been at the forefront of data sharing and open research to align with new policies and funder mandates. http://spr.ly/6045W6dOv #DataSharing #OpenResearch

Senior Editor Kelly Ann Soldavin has a passion for medical communications that stems from her own personal experiences. Soldavin explains: "For me, I’ve always wanted a career that made a positive difference in people’s lives. As someone who has battled health issues since my early twenties, I’ve become passionate about making sure patients have the evidence-based medical information they need to make informed decisions about their care and treatment. The wonderful thing about the medical communications and publications community is that I’m surrounded by colleagues who are just as passionate as me about publishing high-quality research and making it accessible to wide audiences." Read more about Kelly and three other members of our team in our newest article “A passion for patient engagement: meet the medical publications team”: http://spr.ly/6046mNW0A #MedComms #MedPubs

Sharing knowledge through open research drives human progress both within and beyond the field of research – from informing policymakers to supporting innovation in product development, and encouraging the public to take an evidence-based approach to key issues. Policymakers recognize these benefits, and have created a policy landscape that has accelerated a transition to OA, a transition which began in Europe and is increasingly being adopted in the United States. One of the key drivers of this transition is Transformative Agreements (TAs) between publishers and institutions. In our new article, “Open access (OA) transformative deals in the US: Cross-functional partnerships and custom approaches,” we highlight Open Access case studies which feature or mention Taylor & Francis, in order to share these important insights and sum up what was learned. http://spr.ly/6047ma7eT #OpenAccess #ResearchImpact ALA Core American Library Association Rachel Scott Joe Lerro

We’d like you to join us in wishing Taylor & Francis India a very happy 25th anniversary! Team India has developed from a small Routledge India Liaison office of four colleagues to a team of over 230 colleagues in New Delhi. For their anniversary, they shot an inspiring video entitled: “Turning 25: The T&F India Story.” This short film commemorates the milestone through the Taylor & Francis India colleagues and their journeys. It presents a narrative of collaborative success, growth, resilience, and shared aspirations. According to the U.N., the number of people aged 65 years or older worldwide is projected to more than double by 2050. Our rapidly aging global population brings with it a range of challenges, especially for the health care sector. We’re delighted to announce the launch of a new open access journal, Geriatric Pharmacology. As Editor-in-Chief Arduino Mangoni highlights, this is the perfect time to launch a journal focused on supporting evidence-based care of older patients. Earlier this year we were very pleased to be asked to contribute a Communications on Practice piece to Library Resources & Technical Services journal. In addition, this issue features a case study written by The Ohio State librarians about their first three-year Read & Publish pilot with Taylor & Francis, and an article written by Montana State librarians which mentions their experiences with a Taylor & Francis Read & Publish agreement. We pulled out some of the key points in these articles in order to share these important insights and sum up what was learned.
