This week, #Tassat CPO Glendy Kam joined blockchain industry leaders Chris Brodersen of EisnerAmper, Grace Chao of Citi, Marty Jetton of Hex Trust, Anson Law of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), and Christian J. Lopez of Cohen & Company Capital Markets for a discussion on the #tokenization of real world assets (RWA). The discussion explored the benefits that tokenization unlocks in financial services, including decentralization, removal of intermediaries, increased asset mobility, programmability, instant atomic settlements, and cost reduction. The panel also highlighted the potential of tokenization to streamline settlements and the governance roadmap that lies ahead. This year at #Money2020, #Tassat was honored to co-host a cocktail hour with founders, investors and technologists alongside Mastercard, Stifel Financial Corp., Fiat Ventures, and Dream Ventures at the Oak Room in Vegas. The landscape of payments innovation is ever evolving, and it's been great to spend the week connecting with fellow disruptors like Clarisse Hagège, Scott Krah, Richard Booth, CRCM, CAMS, CMB, Tom Leenheer, II, Michael Reed, Gary Palmer and Krish Shetty. Conference season is in full swing! #Tassat Managing Director and Head of Business Development Carol Hartman attended both #DCFintechWeek and the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia's Seventh Annual Fintech Conference last week. These events saw #fintech leaders, regulators, and innovators converge to discuss the evolving landscape of digital assets, payments, and policy. We engaged in fruitful conversations around the challenges and opportunities for fintech #innovation and the implications for the US banking system.
