What do you call a boomerang that doesn’t come back? A bad recruiting strategy. That's if we're talking about boomerang employees. The trend, which describes workers who return to a former employer, came into the limelight in 2022 after some workers said they regretted job-hopping during the Great Resignation. Two years later, HR leaders and experts say that targeting boomerang employees continues to be particularly handy for finding top talent in today's cooling labor market. “Boomerang employees become really easy to hire in that environment.
