Survivor Justice Action was honored to be at the White House this evening commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Our very own, Ruth M. Glenn, President of SJA, had the honor of introducing President Joe Biden, a long standing champion for survivors. Tonight we recognize a milestone and also recognize the work still ahead to ensure survivors live with safety, dignity, and the respect they deserve.

This #MomsEqualPayDay, let's recognize the importance of supporting working mothers, especially those affected by domestic violence. The FAMILY Act would provide workers with up to 12 weeks of partial income when they take time off work for their own serious health condition; the serious health condition of a family member; the birth or adoption of a child; to address the effects of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking; and for certain reasons related to military deployment. Ensuring these critical protections for workers is key to advancing equity for moms. #PayEquity #CloseTheWageGap #SurvivorJusticeAction #EndDVNow
