Gonna be a Long Night but It’s Alright on the Night Shift… Team Stuckey’s is in full swing, cranking out pecans and log rolls! 🚀 To manage the demand, we added a second shift this week, working until 4:30 am. Our HR Director, Michael Hawn and I threw on our hair nets and joined the crew to help out and show our support. What I learned from the night shift: 1. Fewer distractions at night = more focus 🎯 2. Smaller team on the night shift = stronger bonds 💪 3…Wait, what was the third? I’m totally sleep deprived! 😴 Admittedly, I didn’t last the whole shift. But I did manage to squeeze in a quick dance with Ed'Dieaunia while sweeping up pecans! 💃 Takeaway: Sometimes, stepping into the shoes of your team brings you closer and reminds you of the hard work behind every product. Plus, a busting out a few dance always brings some fun and levity to a workplace. This is an experiment for us. Stephanie Stuckey is building a brand. It all started when her dad’s former business partners offered to sell her their shares of Stuckey’s in 2020. Six months later, her dad sold her his shares and she became the sole owner. “How often do you get the chance to buy back your family brand? I consider myself blessed to be given this opportunity,” Stuckey said in the July 2021 issue of NACS Magazine, adding, “Stuckey's was always a safe place to stop. ‘Every traveler is your friend’ was my grandfather’s motto, and I strive to honor his legacy every day.” After thousands of road trip miles, NACS Show presentations, keynote speaking, publishing a book and rolling up her sleeves to continue her family’s legacy, Stephanie is clear on her revitalization goals. “The bigger picture is that you need to have consensus on what your brand represents.
