In August, Partner Brent Reinke co-led the first-ever Life Science Trade Delegation to India, along with Ventura County Supervisor, Jeff Gorell. The delegation, comprised of prominent life science companies and executives from the 101 Biotech Corridor™, engaged in a series of impactful meetings and conferences across New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. This trade mission was a great opportunity to forge valuable connections with senior U.S. and Indian government officials and key players in India’s life science industry. Brent gained invaluable insights into the industry's growth, challenges, and opportunities for doing business in India. The numerous key industry contacts he developed from the trip will help facilitate new business operations and collaborations by clients of Stradling seeking to do business in India and representing Indian life science companies interested in entering the U.S. market.

Stradling represented Deckers Brands, a designer of casual and performance footwear, apparel, and accessories, in the sale of its Sanuk brand, known for its outdoor lifestyle footwear, to Canadian activewear company Lolë Brands. Stradling Partners Ryan Wilkins and Alidad Damooei led the transaction, supported by associates Elan Shpigel and Yasmine Kalhor. Key support was also provided by Jared Speier on labor and employment matters, Ryan Gaglio on tax matters, and Robert C. Briseño on real estate.
